The Bossier Arts Council proudly announces the first Digital Arts Festival and Career Fair.  The event will showcase creative expression through digital media and introduce career and educational opportunities to digital artists and professionals.  Digital artists will exhibit their work in genres made possible by digital technologies, which include, but are not limited to:

• Digital photography,

• Digital video and film

• Graphic design and motion graphics

• 3D design and animation

• CG Animation

• Mechanical and architectural design

• Digital Sculpture (robotics)

• Digital sound and music

The first annual Digital Arts Festival and Career Fair is scheduled for Sept. 6-9, 2012 at the Bossier Civic Center. This event is expected to attract 20,000 visitors to Bossier City over the course of three days.  The event will include:

• Student Artist Exhibitions,

• Independent Artist Exhibitions

• Vendor Exhibitions

• Career Fair

• Shreveport-Bossier’s Best Screenplay Competition

• Digital Music Video Competition and Digital Concert

• Lectures and Workshops with Professionals in Digital Arts Fields.

Participants will include world-class studios and companies that specialize in Digital Media, and the latest state of the art technologies in their field.  Local studios include:  Blade Studios, Moonbot Studios, Fairfield Studios, Worldwide FX, the Cyber Innovation Center and Millennium Studios.  Other national companies under consideration include: Dreamworks Animation, Panasonic, Apple, Digital FX, Adobe and 21st Century 3D.
