The Bossier Arts Council (BAC) is thrilled to announce the dates for DigiFest South. This exciting event is slated for Friday, September 20th and Saturday, September 21st at the Bossier Civic Center.
DigiFest South is an annual digital arts festival and technology exposé that celebrates how digital technology combined with artistic creativity shapes modern society. The creation of the Bossier Arts Council (BAC), the event takes place September 20-21 2013 at the Bossier Civic Center.
DigiFest South enforces the fact that art education is more than a school elective; it is a powerful vocational element and key to a well rounded education that translates to lucrative career opportunities. DigiFest will demonstrate how art combined with technology leads to the innovations that shape our modern way of life and the direct contribution to strong economic development and cultural transformations.
This event focuses the national spotlight on Northwest Louisiana. Bossier City and its neighbor city of Shreveport is a hub for digital media and other technology based innovations. From entertainment to cell phone application, and from startups to large corporations, the infrastructure, educational institutions, and talent in this region are key in factor in Louisiana being ranked the number one place for Digital Media in the country.

With DigiFest South, the BAC and its many partners bring to Bossier Parish the newest advancements enabling the digital arts. Participants range from Dell Computers to Academy Winner Moonbot Studios. The best educational facilities in the regions will showcase educational opportunities in the technology fields. DigiFest South is rapidly becoming a cornerstone event that will inspire kids and adults alike.
