Decentralized Arts Funding Program

The Decentralized Arts Funding or “DAF” Program provides a process for arts funding in every parish and a mechanism for making funding decisions at regional and local levels. Designed to give parishes the opportunity to fashion their own arts program in response to local needs, the DAF Program provides funding to each parish based on the latest census figures at approximately $0.50 per citizen.

The Louisiana Division of the Arts channels funds to eight Regional Distributing Agencies (RDA), which, in turn, re-grant those dollars to Local Regranting Agencies (LRA). The Bossier Arts Council is the LRA for Region 7—the Northwest Louisiana region—while the Shreveport Regional Arts Council serves as the RDA for Region 7.
